             The moment I heard about information technology it create logic in my mind. The termed is very familiar but hard to define. Obviously, when I heard about IT lot of things comes on my mind, things that are made by technology which can be use for information such as Personal computers, Tablet PC, Laptop, cellular phones, television, radio and a lot more. As the time goes by I found that it is not just about the things but, it is also about the advantages it can give like: we can use it for chatting, making e-mail account, facebok, twitter, YouTube, games and even researching of important matters. I found that Information technology has a broad definition as what I get from the Wikipedia. “IT is the acquisition, processing, storage and disseminations of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by microelectronics” another source states that “IT is the area of managing technology and spans wide variety of areas that include but are not limited to things such as processes, computer software, information system, computer hardware , programming language, and data constructs”. But here’s an article that really broaden my idea on information technology. IT is like a bundle of things such as the water pipelining system; the electrical lining system; the bicycle; roads and highways; the library; the printing press; the telephones; the airplanes and many more. Through this article, everybody can understand more on IT and the other things which can be compared on information technology.

            As what the article has been stated, that IT is lie a water piping system, in the sense that water piping system is a process of water flow into a pipe done with the aid of a machine specifically a machine pumper in which the water has been passing. In water piping, the process water flow goes smoothly, easily, speedily and directly. The same with the IT water is compared to information or group of information in text, in pictures, in videos or in vocal that are passing, uploading, acquiring and processing. While machine is compared in the technology in the sense that they work for the sake of the information to be used by others. Like in a water piping, machine also work for the sake of the users or the consumers. But most of all they both have the same role just to make things done easy and direct in smooth manner.

           IT is like an electrical lining system because electrical lining system containing mounted electronic components that have created coordination between the components and unification of their function in the circuit. It also makes the electric current to flow successfully and freely. Similar to IT, it is also a system composed of many components like: computer software, computer hardware, processes and most of all IT also coordinates with its components.

           The bicycle can also be compared to information technology in the sense that a bicycle is a kind of transportation that carries and transport things from one place to another place and these things that have been transported considered as the information. A bicycle has wheels and has a driver that need to know how to coordinate with its part in order to balance. The same with IT, Information technology also carries information, data or messages that people used specially the users should also know how to coordinates and handle the part of a computer in order to know the function and the advantages of the computer.

          Taking about comparison to IT, road and highway can be one of it. According to the New Webster Dictionary of English Language roads is a way to get somewhere or touring while highways are the passage from place to place. Similar to It, information can be passed, processed and acquired by one person to another and the technology serve as the highways of information to passed for the clients sake.

          Another thing that can be compared to information technology is the library because library is a place where information is stored. It is where we gather idea, gathered knowledge, research and reads. The library also stored books according to its classification. The IT also give information that everyone can understand and gain knowledge through this and most of all both IT and the library stores information whether new or old tat can be scan any moment at the time.

         IT or information technology and printing press have a similarity in the sense that IT produce books, depending on the input made by the user or the person who make the input. Printing press also produced, print books and other educational materials depend on the costumers asked or required.

         Telephone can also be the best example to compare information technology because telephone is a source of communication. We can interact others even though they are million miles away from us. Through telephone we can send and receive information for just a minute or seconds. Similar to IT information’s can be sending and even exchanged between two or more distant persons.

           Last thing that can be compared to information technology is the airplane. Airplane carries ad transport people across the ocean, island to other island through the air. Similar to IT, information is carried from one place to another place, from Asia to other continent and especially around the world. Information can also reach even outer space like on the communication that takes between astronauts.

           The water piping system, the electrical lining system, the bicycle, roads and highways, the library, the printing press, the telephone and even airplanes are the things that been compared to IT just to make information technology more understandable. But there are still lots of things we can enumerate and relate to IT. And also to make further the idea of information technology. IT is not a dead-end job; it’s a continuous learning and innovating of lots of things. These means IT does not stop, instead there are still things to be improve, discovered and  maybe technique to be teach because according to the Wikipedia” IT provides businesses with four sets of core services to help execute the business strategy”.
