 What are Computer and Information Technology?
Nowadays computer exist in life of many people that is why Bachelor of Science and Information Technology has been establish as one of the degree courses where many schools granted.
A Computer is very useful because it has the ability to take instruction and make lots of work easier. It is an electronic machine capable of accepting data from an input device, processing through the means of the processor, presenting data as information through output device, storing through storage memory and retrieving back the store data. It is also a fact machine that can store important thing like; e-mail, pictures, games and music. It is a programmable machine that accepts information and manipulates it for some result based on a program or sequence of instruction on how the data is to be processed because it has a high speed processing, reliability, display networking capabilities. In addition, computers deals more with hardware usage and building P’Cs and capable of performing computations and produces an answer. It is also a processing unit processing unit executes series of instructions that make it read, manipulate and then store data. Conditional instructions change the sequence of instructions as a function of the current state of the machine or its environment often known as programs in the parlance of computers and execute them that distinguish a computer from a mechanical calculator. Finally computer is one of the most powerful innovations in human history which are able to perform a staggering amount of computations at dazzling speeds. Information can be crunched, organized, and displayed in the blink of an eye.
Information technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit and secure retrieve information. It is a combination of telecommunication and computer science for the capture, storage and transmission of information to every nook and corner of the world. I.T is a study to design, develop, implement, support or manage of computer based information system, particularly software applications and computer hardware. It is also an area’s that includes but are not limited to things such as processing information system, programming languages and data construction. Furthermore, Information technology referred to as Management information service or simply as Information services, retrieving information as necessary and also includes instruction in the principles of computer hardware and software components, algorithms, database, telecommunication, users tactics, application testing and human interface design and finally, information technology is the acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronic based  combination of computing and telecommunication that deals with using computers to acquire knowledge as applied in the business world.
